- [19:12](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.12/) — הַהִצִּילוּ אֹתָם אֱלֹהֵי הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר שִׁחֲתוּ אֲבוֹתַי אֶת־גּוֹזָן וְאֶת־חָרָן וְרֶצֶף וּבְנֵי־עֶדֶן אֲשֶׁר בִּתְלַאשָּֽׂר׃ — Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden that were in Telassar? - [19:13](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.13/) — אַיּוֹ מֶֽלֶךְ־חֲמָת וּמֶלֶךְ אַרְפָּד וּמֶלֶךְ לָעִיר סְפַרְוָיִם הֵנַע וְעִוָּֽה׃ — Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?' - [19:14](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.14/) — וַיִּקַּח חִזְקִיָּהוּ אֶת־הַסְּפָרִים מִיַּד הַמַּלְאָכִים וַיִּקְרָאֵם וַיַּעַל בֵּית יְהוָה וַיִּפְרְשֵׂהוּ חִזְקִיָּהוּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃פ — And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. - [19:15](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.15/) — וַיִּתְפַּלֵּל חִזְקִיָּהוּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וַיֹּאמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יֹשֵׁב הַכְּרֻבִים אַתָּה־הוּא הָֽאֱלֹהִים לְבַדְּךָ לְכֹל מַמְלְכוֹת הָאָרֶץ אַתָּה עָשִׂיתָ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ — And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said: 'O LORD, the God of Israel, that sittest upon the cherubim, Thou art the God, even Thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; Thou hast made heaven and earth. - [19:16](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.16/) — הַטֵּה יְהוָה ׀ אָזְנְךָ וּֽשֲׁמָע פְּקַח יְהוָה עֵינֶיךָ וּרְאֵה וּשְׁמַע אֵת דִּבְרֵי סַנְחֵרִיב אֲשֶׁר שְׁלָחוֹ לְחָרֵף אֱלֹהִים חָֽי׃ — Incline Thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open Thine eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, wherewith he hath sent him to taunt the living God. - [19:17](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.17/) — אָמְנָם יְהוָה הֶחֱרִיבוּ מַלְכֵי אַשּׁוּר אֶת־הַגּוֹיִם וְאֶת־אַרְצָֽם׃ — Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands, - [19:18](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.18/) — וְנָתְנוּ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵיהֶם בָּאֵשׁ כִּי לֹא אֱלֹהִים הֵמָּה כִּי אִם־מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵֽי־אָדָם עֵץ וָאֶבֶן וַֽיְאַבְּדֽוּם׃ — and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them. - [19:19](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.19/) — וְעַתָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ הוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ נָא מִיָּדוֹ וְיֵֽדְעוּ כָּל־מַמְלְכוֹת הָאָרֶץ כִּי אַתָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים לְבַדֶּֽךָ׃ס — Now therefore, O LORD our God, save Thou us, I beseech Thee, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that Thou art the LORD God, even Thou only.' - [19:20](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.20/) — וַיִּשְׁלַח יְשַֽׁעְיָהוּ בֶן־אָמוֹץ אֶל־חִזְקִיָּהוּ לֵאמֹר כֹּֽה־אָמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר הִתְפַּלַּלְתָּ אֵלַי אֶל־סַנְחֵרִב מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר שָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃ — Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying: 'Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: Whereas thou hast prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard thee. - [19:21](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.21/) — זֶה הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּר יְהוָה עָלָיו בָּזָה לְךָ לָעֲגָה לְךָ בְּתוּלַת בַּת־צִיּוֹן אַחֲרֶיךָ רֹאשׁ הֵנִיעָה בַּת יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ — This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him: The virgin daughter of Zion hath despised thee and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee. - [19:22](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.22/) — אֶת־מִי חֵרַפְתָּ וְגִדַּפְתָּ וְעַל־מִי הֲרִימוֹתָ קּוֹל וַתִּשָּׂא מָרוֹם עֵינֶיךָ עַל־קְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ — Whom hast thou taunted and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice? Yea, thou hast lifted up thine eyes on high, even against the Holy One of Israel! - [19:23](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.23/) — בְּיַד מַלְאָכֶיךָ חֵרַפְתָּ ׀ אֲדֹנָי וַתֹּאמֶר בְּרֹב רִכְבִּי אֲנִי עָלִיתִי מְרוֹם הָרִים יַרְכְּתֵי לְבָנוֹן וְאֶכְרֹת קוֹמַת אֲרָזָיו מִבְחוֹר בְּרֹשָׁיו וְאָבוֹאָה מְלוֹן קִצֹּהיַעַר כַּרְמִלּֽוֹ׃ — By the messengers thou hast taunted the Lord, and hast said: With the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon; and I have cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice cypresses thereof; and I have entered into his farthest lodge, the forest of his fruitful field. - [19:24](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.24/) — אֲנִי קַרְתִּי וְשָׁתִיתִי מַיִם זָרִים וְאַחְרִב בְּכַף־פְּעָמַי כֹּל יְאֹרֵי מָצֽוֹר׃ — I have digged and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of Egypt. - [19:25](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.25/) — הֲלֹֽא־שָׁמַעְתָּ לְמֵֽרָחוֹק אֹתָהּ עָשִׂיתִי לְמִימֵי קֶדֶם וִֽיצַרְתִּיהָ עַתָּה הֲבֵיאתִיהָ וּתְהִי לַהְשׁוֹת גַּלִּים נִצִּים עָרִים בְּצֻרֽוֹת׃ — Hast thou not heard? long ago I made it, in ancient times I fashioned it; now have I brought it to pass, yea, it is done; that fortified cities should be laid waste into ruinous heaps. - [19:26](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.26/) — וְיֹֽשְׁבֵיהֶן קִצְרֵי־יָד חַתּוּ וַיֵּבֹשׁוּ הָיוּ עֵשֶׂב שָׂדֶה וִירַק דֶּשֶׁא חֲצִיר גַּגּוֹת וּשְׁדֵפָה לִפְנֵי קָמָֽה׃ — Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it is grown up. - [19:27](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.27/) — וְשִׁבְתְּךָ וְצֵאתְךָ וּבֹאֲךָ יָדָעְתִּי וְאֵת הִֽתְרַגֶּזְךָ אֵלָֽי׃ — But I know thy sitting down, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy raging against Me. - [19:28](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.28/) — יַעַן הִתְרַגֶּזְךָ אֵלַי וְשַׁאֲנַנְךָ עָלָה בְאָזְנָי וְשַׂמְתִּי חַחִי בְּאַפֶּךָ וּמִתְגִּי בִּשְׂפָתֶיךָ וַהֲשִׁבֹתִיךָ בַּדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר־בָּאתָ בָּֽהּ׃ — Because of thy raging against Me, and for that thy tumult is come up into Mine ears, therefore will I put My hook in thy nose, and My bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest. - [19:29](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.29/) — וְזֶה־לְּךָ הָאוֹת אָכוֹל הַשָּׁנָה סָפִיחַ וּבַשָּׁנָה הַשֵּׁנִית סָחִישׁ וּבַשָּׁנָה הַשְּׁלִישִׁית זִרְעוּ וְקִצְרוּ וְנִטְעוּ כְרָמִים וְאִכְלוּ פִרְיָֽם׃ — And this shall be the sign unto thee: ye shall eat this year that which groweth of itself, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof. - [19:30](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.30/) — וְיָסְפָה פְּלֵיטַת בֵּית־יְהוּדָה הַנִּשְׁאָרָה שֹׁרֶשׁ לְמָטָּה וְעָשָׂה פְרִי לְמָֽעְלָה׃ — And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward. - [19:31](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.31/) — כִּי מִירוּשָׁלִַם תֵּצֵא שְׁאֵרִית וּפְלֵיטָה מֵהַר צִיּוֹן קִנְאַת יְהוָה צְבָאוֹתתַּֽעֲשֶׂה־זֹּֽאת׃ס — For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and out of mount Zion they that shall escape; the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall perform this. - [19:32](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.32/) — לָכֵן כֹּֽה־אָמַר יְהוָה אֶל־מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר לֹא יָבֹא אֶל־הָעִיר הַזֹּאת וְלֹֽא־יוֹרֶה שָׁם חֵץ וְלֹֽא־יְקַדְּמֶנָּה מָגֵן וְלֹֽא־יִשְׁפֹּךְ עָלֶיהָ סֹלְלָֽה׃ — Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come unto this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither shall he come before it with shield, nor cast a mound against it. - [19:33](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.33/) — בַּדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר־יָבֹא בָּהּ יָשׁוּב וְאֶל־הָעִיר הַזֹּאת לֹא יָבֹא נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ — By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and he shall not come unto this city, saith the LORD. - [19:34](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.34/) — וְגַנּוֹתִי אֶל־הָעִיר הַזֹּאת לְהֽוֹשִׁיעָהּ לְמַֽעֲנִי וּלְמַעַן דָּוִד עַבְדִּֽי׃ — For I will defend this city to save it, for Mine own sake, and for My servant David's sake.' - [19:35](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.35/) — וַיְהִי בַּלַּיְלָה הַהוּא וַיֵּצֵא ׀ מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה וַיַּךְ בְּמַחֲנֵה אַשּׁוּר מֵאָה שְׁמוֹנִים וַחֲמִשָּׁה אָלֶף וַיַּשְׁכִּימוּ בַבֹּקֶר וְהִנֵּה כֻלָּם פְּגָרִים מֵתִֽים׃ — And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred fourscore and five thousand; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. - [19:36](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.36/) — וַיִּסַּע וַיֵּלֶךְ וַיָּשָׁב סַנְחֵרִיב מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר וַיֵּשֶׁב בְּנִֽינְוֵֽה׃ — So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. - [19:37](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/2KI.19.37/) — וַיְהִי הוּא מִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶה בֵּית ׀ נִסְרֹךְ אֱלֹהָיו וְֽאַדְרַמֶּלֶךְ וְשַׂרְאֶצֶר בָּנָיוהִכֻּהוּ בַחֶרֶב וְהֵמָּה נִמְלְטוּ אֶרֶץ אֲרָרָט וַיִּמְלֹךְ אֵֽסַר־חַדֹּןאֵֽסַר־חַדֹּן בְּנוֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃פ — And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sarezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat.
