For Manoah knew not that he was the angel of the LORD. - [13:17](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/JDG.13.17/) — וַיֹּאמֶר מָנוֹחַ אֶל־מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה מִי שְׁמֶךָ כִּֽי־יָבֹא דְבָרְךָ וְכִבַּדְנֽוּךָ׃ — And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD: 'What is thy name, that when thy words come to pass we may do thee honour?' - [13:18](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/JDG.13.18/) — וַיֹּאמֶר לּוֹמַלְאַךְ יְהוָה לָמָּה זֶּה תִּשְׁאַל לִשְׁמִי וְהוּא־פֶלִאי׃ — And the angel of the LORD said unto him: 'Wherefore askest thou after my name, seeing it is hidden?' - [13:19](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/JDG.13.19/) — וַיִּקַּח מָנוֹחַ אֶת־גְּדִי הָעִזִּים וְאֶת־הַמִּנְחָה וַיַּעַל עַל־הַצּוּר לַֽיהוָה וּמַפְלִא לַעֲשׂוֹת וּמָנוֹחַ וְאִשְׁתּוֹ רֹאִֽים׃ — So Manoah took the kid with the meal-offering, and offered it upon the rock unto the LORD; and the angel did wondrously, and Manoah and his wife looked on. - [13:20](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/JDG.13.20/) — וַיְהִי בַעֲלוֹת הַלַּהַב מֵעַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ הַשָּׁמַיְמָה וַיַּעַל מַלְאַךְ־יְהוָה בְּלַהַב הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וּמָנוֹחַ וְאִשְׁתּוֹ רֹאִים וַיִּפְּלוּ עַל־פְּנֵיהֶם אָֽרְצָה׃ — For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar; and Manoah and his wife looked on; and they fell on their faces to the ground. - [13:21](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/neviim/JDG.13.21/) — וְלֹא־יָסַף עוֹד מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה לְהֵרָאֹה אֶל־מָנוֹחַ וְאֶל־אִשְׁתּוֹ אָז יָדַע מָנוֹחַ כִּֽי־מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה הֽוּא׃ — But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah or to his wife.
