In the first two sentences it means away from this place. In the third it means for this reason. [tree →](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/emode/H/hence/#m1)

### how it differs from today

Today we say "from here" or "away from here" for the place sense, and "therefore" for the reason sense. The place sense is old-fashioned, and the third sentence uses the reason sense as we do.
