### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In Sefer Yetzirah it is one of the twelve organs of the body, matched with the letter Tzadi, Aquarius and the month Shevat. Interpretation: The text matches twelve "leaders" in the body to twelve letters, months and signs. Commentators found the organ names hard to identify.

### examples

- He made the letter Tzadi reign, and bound to it a crown, and formed with it Aquarius in the World, and Shevat in the Year, and the abomasum in the Person. (Sefer Yetzirah, Sefaria community translation) [tree →](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/judaism/A/abomasum/#x1)
- And these are the Twelve Leaders in the Person: two hands, two legs, two kidneys, spleen, liver, gall, rumen, abomasum, craw. [note 2: Identification of the latter four terms is very strange.
