### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: The "day of blowing the horn" is the first day of the seventh month. Interpretation: Tradition names it Rosh Hashanah, the new year, when the shofar (ram's horn) is blown. It is read as a call to wake up and turn back to God and as a time of judgment. In the primary lessons: In science and weather lessons, wind is moving air, and «the wind is blowing from the north» tells its direction; a wind vane shows it; strong blowing winds can make waves and storms. In hygiene, blowing your nose into a tissue, throwing it away and washing your hands stops germs spreading. Phrases: «blowing out candles», «blowing bubbles», «blowing your nose», «blowing a whistle», «blowing in the wind», «blowing up» (inflating, or exploding).
