Interpretation: In Sefer Yetzirah, God combined letters, weighed them and changed them to make all that was formed. The tradition reads this as showing that words and letters are the building blocks of creation. In the primary lessons: In maths, «combine» means add groups together: «combine 3 red and 4 blue counters» = 7 in all; also «combined total» or «combined score». In science, materials and chemicals combine to make new substances, and colours combine to make new colours. In cooking, you combine ingredients. On farms, combines harvest wheat.
