### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Ezekiel says an eagle cropped, or snapped off, the top twig of a cedar and carried it to a land of merchants. Interpretation: It is read as a riddle about the king of Babylon taking Judah's king into exile. The tradition sees the eagle as a symbol of a foreign empire. In the primary lessons: In computing and art lessons pupils crop photos to cut off the parts they do not want. In everyday life it describes fashion and haircuts. In farming, a field that has been cropped has had crops grown or cut on it. The phrase «crop up» means a problem or chance that turns up suddenly.
