### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Means to treat an idol or an idol-linked object as utterly hateful and keep far away from it. Interpretation: Tradition reads this as the law against profiting from or keeping anything used for idol worship. In the primary lessons: In stories and the more formal voice, characters detest things like cruelty, cabbage or rude people. In everyday talk children usually say «hate» or «can't stand». It is a strong word.
