# freshly

«freshly» in Mova's judaism dictionary: **Very recently; only just: «freshly baked bread», «freshly…** — its meaning for a pupil, its sense in the lessons and examples.

### part of speech

adverb (freshly)

### meaning for a pupil

Very recently; only just: «freshly baked bread», «freshly cut grass». [tree →](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/judaism/F/freshly/#m1)

### sense in the lessons

Interpretation: Tradition reads the fresh olive leaf as a sign that the world was alive again after the Flood; some say its bitterness hinted that food from God is better than gifts from people. In the primary lessons: Used almost always before a past participle to tell the reader something was done a moment ago, so it is new, clean or at its best: freshly made, freshly washed, freshly painted, freshly squeezed. In safety: «freshly painted» means wet paint — don't touch.
