### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: A person who picks the harvest. In these verses it means one who picks grapes in the vineyard. Interpretation: The prophets use the picture of grape-gatherers who leave a few grapes. Even so, enemies will leave Israel less than that, and a "remnant" is all that is left. In the primary lessons: In history lessons, Stone Age people were hunter-gatherers before farming began. In geography, a few groups still live partly this way today. In everyday life, a gatherer collects things, for example a news gatherer or a berry gatherer. Phrases: hunter-gatherers, data gatherer.
