### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: The Hebrew word, chesed, means faithful loving-kindness that a person shows beyond what is required. Interpretation: Tradition counts acts of kindness as one of the pillars on which the world stands, and visiting the sick and comforting mourners are called acts of kindness. In the primary lessons: In everyday life, school and feelings, kindness means helping someone who is hurt, including someone who is left out, sharing, saying thank you and being gentle with animals; «random acts of kindness» are small kind things for anyone. Kindness makes people feel safe and happy, and it is the opposite of bullying. In stories, kindness is often rewarded, like in fairy tales where a kind girl helps an old woman.
