### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Prophets and Psalms it means what God does, "the operation of His hands," that is, His deeds in the world. The prophets blame people who feast and ignore it. Interpretation: Tradition reads these verses as saying that people should notice God's works in nature and history, and that those who do not will be brought down. Sefer Yetzirah uses the word for the workings of the planets under the Administrative Intelligence. In the primary lessons: the four ways to calculate («all four operations»); the goal of reading a word problem is to choose the operation; some problems need two operations; in everyday life a hospital operation; in news a rescue operation
