### note

A length; walking it many times = multiply. A path around a shape is like a perimeter. Trap: «there and back» on a path is twice the length. Plural: paths. A path is narrower than a road; a «footpath» is for walkers. Safety: in parks and forests, staying on the path keeps you from getting lost.
