### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Joseph orders them to embalm Jacob, following Egyptian custom. Later, Job calls his friends useless physicians, and King Asa is blamed for seeking physicians but not the LORD. Interpretation: Tradition notes that Jacob was embalmed so that his body could be carried back to the Land of Israel for burial.
