### sense in the lessons

In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: In the Torah it is a named district, such as the region of Argob in Bashan. Interpretation: The land east of the Jordan was given to Reuben, Gad and half of Manasseh. In the primary lessons: Used in geography lessons: polar regions, desert regions, regions of a country. In maths: sorting numbers into regions of a Venn or Carroll diagram. Phrase: "in the region of" means "about" (in the region of 100 = about 100).
