In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: Ropes bind Samson, and "cords" and cart ropes are a picture of how people drag sin along with them. In the primary lessons: In maths: a length cut into pieces or joined; jump rope counts jumps; ropes tied together add lengths. In PE: climbing ropes, tug-of-war, skipping. In science: twisting many thin strands makes a strong rope; ropes and pulleys lift heavy things. In stories: cowboys roping cattle; «learn the ropes».

### note
