In the Tanakh and Jewish tradition: "Running water" means fresh flowing water, like a spring or stream, not water standing in a pool or jar. Interpretation: Jewish law calls flowing spring water "living water" and uses it for purifying, as in the cleansing of a leper and the red cow ashes. In the primary lessons: In PE, running builds a strong heart and lungs. In safety: no running near pools or on wet floors; don't run into the road.
