In the primary lessons: Maths: seeds or fields planted, often a rate per acre. Farming and science: seeds are sown in spring; you reap what you sow (a saying: what you do comes back to you). Sow, sowed, sown (or sowed). Seeds or fields planted, often a rate per acre. Trap: do not read «sown» as «sewn» (with a needle). «Sow» (seeds) rhymes with «go»; a «sow» (a female pig) rhymes with «cow».
