In the primary lessons: In everyday life you buy fruit or crafts «at a market stall» or run «a cake stall» at the school fair. On farms each horse has its own stall. «The car stalled» means the engine stopped. «Stop stalling!» tells someone to stop wasting time. In maths problems a stall sells items at a price, and you work out money and change. Phrases: «market stall», «cake stall», «stall for time».
