Interpretation: Sefer Yetzirah says God carried the letters through water, air and fire. The air or wind is read as the breath of God's presence, like the storm wind at the giving of the Torah. In the Psalms and Job the storm is God's tool: He sends it against enemies, it comes from His chambers, and He can turn it into calm. In the primary lessons: In science and geography: types of storms — thunderstorms, hurricanes (Atlantic), cyclones (Australia, Indian Ocean), typhoons (Pacific), tornadoes, blizzards (snowstorms), dust storms. In safety: during a storm stay indoors, away from windows and water; follow weather warnings; don't shelter under trees. In stories a storm often brings danger or matches a character's anger. Phrases: thunderstorm, snowstorm, the eye of the storm, storm clouds, brainstorm, take by storm, a storm in a teacup.
