### sense in the lessons

Interpretation: A nazirite, who took a special vow, could not eat or drink anything from grapes. This included vinegar made from wine. In Psalms and Proverbs, vinegar is a sour drink that stands for bitterness and for someone who annoys or hurts. In the primary lessons: Used in cooking: salt and vinegar on chips, vinegar in salad dressing, pickled onions. In science: vinegar is an acid; mixed with bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) it fizzes and makes carbon dioxide (volcano experiment). Cleaning: vinegar removes limescale.
