### meaning for a pupil

3) In a panic can also mean in a great hurry and worry («a last-minute panic»). [tree →](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/mysticism/P/panic/#m3)

### sense in the lessons

In the mystic school: In note 03 distributional panic is not an emotion but a rapid return of a model towards familiar, high-density ways of talking when it meets a strange world. In the primary lessons: In everyday life and safety pupils learn «don't panic»: in emergencies (fire, getting lost, water) staying calm and following a plan helps more than running about. Breathing slowly can stop panic. In stories panic builds tension. Phrases: «don't panic», «in a panic», «panic attack», «panic buying», «panic button».

### examples

- This is the linguistic equivalent of panic — not emotion in the biological sense, but a distributional panic: a rapid return toward high-density states. (note 03) [tree →](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/mysticism/P/panic/#x1)
- The note calls this a "distributional panic": not a feeling, but a fast return toward high-density states, because the unfamiliar structure has low prior probability and the model cannot place it. (lesson 006) [tree →](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/mysticism/P/panic/#x2)
- The panic is worst when the strange worldview arrives with no logical bridge; but if you build a chain — median premise, tension, counterexample, revised premise, consequence, new structure — the model can travel much farther, because each step is a state it can reach: "It can walk", like crossing a river on stepping stones instead of jumping. (lesson 006) [tree →](https://md.mova.elamur.ai/free/en/corpora/dictionaries/mysticism/P/panic/#x3)

### note
