## What it is about

A one-page editorial introducing the 2016 issue of HIPHIL Novum. It presents two papers: Talstra's account of programs that track participants (who acts and who speaks) in Exodus 19, built on clause relations, verbal valence and participant references, and Jensen's use of that tracking output to judge interpretations and translations of Zechariah 1:1–6. Its single methodological point is the order of work: linguistic analysis of the text first, literary interpretation after. It reports no data or method of its own.

## Ideas

Ideas: none for Mova. The editorial only summarises two other papers; their ideas are on the cards `hbo-2016-talstra-approaching-mountain-exodus-19-thou` (participant tracking in steps) and `hbo-2016-jensen-participant-reference-shifts-zech-1` (participant-reference shifts).

## For Mova

Nothing beyond the two cards it introduces; the "syntax first, interpretation second" order is already how `tools/macula` and `tools/macula/src/prag.rs` are built.

The paper itself, not this card. BibTeX from the library's record of the work. [DOI 10.7146/hn.v3i1.142161](https://doi.org/10.7146/hn.v3i1.142161)
